Parties

Because they're an important part of a celebration, we had a couple. My bridesmaid's luncheon was hosted by two of my aunts. It was at a cute little antique store/tea shop out in the booming metropolis of Adams, Tennessee. We got lost on the way out there-country roads all look the same, and "turning at the big white farmhouse" applied to more than one spot on the way.

Calen's bachelor's party: I don't really want to know. I've gathered that it involved a lot of scotch and a lot of video games. Good guy entertainment.

My bachelorette party: was a surprise! I didn't think I was going to be able to have one, but my girls came through for me the night before! 007 themed lingerie party with 'Katinis' shaken, not stirred. I should have known I had the best friends ever--and so creative!

The Cake!

Was as good tasting as it was good looking. Pistachio and vanilla cake with butter cream icing! Delicious! Calen's grooms cake was a chocolate peanut butter ice cream cake in the shape of Olympic barbells...Surprise!

my crazy wedding party

Who all did so much work and such a wonderful job! Thank you so much for being so awesome and so much fun!

how it all came together

Beautifully! I had a wonderful wedding with tons of family and friends present: more than a girl could ask for, really. Here are some of the photos from the event. The professional ones look great, too, but I haven't figured out how I get those yet...guess I better make that phone call soon! I don't want to lose all my memories!

Another Dress?!

For the Reception...a girl's got to dance!

Linens

I can't register for the linens I've selected: they're being discontinued at Macy's :(

The collection is Martha Stewart Trousseau. The collection includes duvet, three sham options, three European sham options, sheet set, pillowcases, quilted coverlet, bedskirt and five decorative pillows. The colors we want are white and wheat (as pictured). There are also sheets; several from her other collections can mix and match, too.

I'm registered!

Picking Patterns: china and silverware

I picked two patterns from Mikasa.

For my stainless, I chose French Countryside.
For my formal china, I chose Platinum Crown.

I already have informal china and sterling silverware...kind of strange, I know.

A picture worth 1,000 words

It's the look I'm going for...minus the little cake table

Let Them Eat Cake!

Tuity Fruity!
I want the creamy white cake with all the decoration and without all the ribbon, but aren't the grapes and plums and flowers gorgeous!?

More Flowers! but now in bouquets

So, as I looked at the flowers I'd posted before, I realized that they are very dark, but my colors aren't supposed to be that dark! I want my wedding to be warm and inviting. These bouquets are much warmer. I love the combo of roses and lilies. The plum bouquet would match the bridesmaids' dresses perfectly, but I'd definitely like to add some more colors in there. Basically, if I could mix these two and add some ivory roses in. Also, it could stand a little more in the way of some GREEN!

Flowers

That I like
I certianly do not have a florist yet.
lavendula (related to lavender)
I know that other is a cake. I really like those gigantic dark purple flowers on it. I think they're called spaghetti mums.
I'd like to mix all these purples in with some ivory flowers (roses maybe), some baby's breath, and little something gold and sparkly.
